What this module supports
The Download Center module gives schools a shared content workspace for operational files, downloadable materials, and media distribution. It covers the upload layer, content typing, content sharing, and legacy learning materials in one place rather than scattering files across other modules.
Key capabilities
- manage file-type structure through Content Types
- upload and maintain files from Upload Content
- distribute and review shared materials through Content Share List
- preserve prior resources through Legacy Content
- maintain video-based guidance or media assets through Video Tutorials
UI surface in Smart School
The live Smart School UI currently exposes this module through five dedicated routes:
- Content Types
- Upload Content
- Content Share List
- Legacy Content
- Video Tutorials
In the current UI, the upload workspace includes totals, storage usage, bulk actions like Share, Generate URL, and Delete, plus a table showing file type, size, uploader, date, and row-level actions. This makes Download Center an operational content-management surface, not just a static file list.

Important note
Download Center works best when schools define content types and file ownership conventions early. Without that discipline, uploads become hard to search, share, and maintain over time.
