What this module supports
The Online Payments module handles gateway-level configuration and transaction visibility for digital fee collection. It gives schools a dedicated place to control provider activation, pricing behavior, and payment-channel readiness without mixing that work into the standard fee collection screens.
Key capabilities
- manage provider configuration from the Payment Gateways workspace
- activate or deactivate supported gateways as operational needs change
- review gateway mode, charge type, and charge value from the gateway cards
- access Payment Transactions as the transaction-level operational view
- support digital collection workflows without replacing the main fees setup and collection structure
UI surface in Smart School
The live Smart School UI currently exposes this module through two dedicated routes:
- Payment Gateways
- Payment Transactions
The current gateway page shows first-class cards for providers such as Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, and Midtrans. Each card surfaces status, mode, charge settings, and configuration actions, while the module header also highlights secure payment and multi-currency messaging.

Important note
Online Payments is adjacent to fee collection, but it is not the same thing as fee structure setup. Schools still need clean fee groups, fee types, assignments, and collection workflows before gateway-based collection will behave predictably.
