What this module supports
The Front Office module keeps walk-in, phone, postal, and complaint activity in one operational workspace. It is the administrative intake layer for schools that need to track enquiries and daily public-facing records without scattering them across spreadsheets or informal logs.
Key capabilities
- record and follow up on Admission Enquiry activity tied to source, status, class interest, and date filters
- maintain the Visitor Book for on-site visitor entries and reception tracking
- log incoming and outgoing communication through Phone Call Log, Postal Dispatch, and Postal Receive
- capture issues through the Complaint workspace for structured front-desk follow-up
- configure front office reference data from Setup Front Office
UI surface in Smart School
The live Smart School UI currently exposes this module through seven dedicated routes:
- Admission Enquiry
- Visitor Book
- Phone Call Log
- Postal Dispatch
- Postal Receive
- Complaint
- Setup Front Office
In the current UI, the admission enquiry page also shows filtering by class, source, status, and date range plus an Add Enquiry action. This confirms that Front Office is a real operational surface, not just a small settings subsection.

Important note
Front Office records often become the starting point for admissions and communication follow-up. If enquiry sources, visitor notes, or complaint details are entered inconsistently, downstream reporting and staff handoff quality will degrade quickly.
