What this module supports
The Alumni module gives schools a dedicated workspace for former-student records and follow-up activity after students leave the active roster. It helps schools keep alumni profiles, engagement events, and alumni-focused reporting in one connected area.
Key capabilities
- manage former-student records from Alumni Directory
- track alumni-focused outreach or gatherings through Alumni Events
- review alumni-specific reporting from Alumni Reports
- search alumni by admission number and filter by session, class, and section
- maintain alumni contact details separately from the live student-operational surface
UI surface in Smart School
The live Smart School UI currently exposes this module through three dedicated routes:
- Alumni Directory
- Alumni Events
- Alumni Reports
In the current UI, the directory page shows search by admission number plus filters for session, class, and section, alongside editable alumni profile rows. That confirms Alumni is a dedicated operating area rather than just a report or archive endpoint.

Important note
Alumni records are easiest to maintain when student lifecycle data is clean before graduation or exit. Weak admissions, class, or contact data upstream will carry into the alumni workspace and reduce its long-term value.
