What this module supports
The Income Console module gives finance teams a dedicated workspace for non-fee incoming funds and categorized finance entries. It separates general income tracking from tuition collection so schools can record other receipts, maintain income heads, and search finance history from one place.
Key capabilities
- create new entries from Add Income with head, date, invoice number, amount, attachment, and note fields
- review and filter prior records from Search Income
- maintain reference categories from Income Heads
- monitor high-level counts and recent-update visibility from the income dashboard cards
- keep general incoming funds documented alongside the rest of the finance stack
UI surface in Smart School
The live Smart School UI currently exposes this module through three dedicated routes:
- Add Income
- Search Income
- Income Heads
In the current UI, the add-income surface includes a structured form for income head, date, name, invoice number, amount, attachment, and notes. The main header frames this as a finance console rather than a simple one-off form.

Important note
Income Console should be treated as a separate operational area from student fee collection. If schools mix tuition receipts and general income records carelessly, later finance reports and balance views become harder to interpret.
