What this module supports
The Transport module gives schools a dedicated workspace for route setup, vehicle planning, stop mapping, fee configuration, student assignment, and transport reporting. It keeps the operational transport data connected instead of spreading it across unrelated admin screens.
Key capabilities
- manage Transport Routes with route title, active status, notes, and downstream vehicle or pickup-point counts
- maintain Transport Vehicles with vehicle identity, seating capacity, registration, chassis, driver details, and optional photo data
- use Assign Vehicles to connect vehicles to the correct routes
- maintain Pickup Points with address, coordinates, status, and route-ready stop records
- use Route Pickup Mapping to define stop order, fees, travel distance, and pickup or drop timing per route
- configure Transport Fee Master schedules by academic session and month
- assign students to transport with route, pickup point, and fee-master context
- review Transport Reports for student transport, route utilization, and vehicle assignment coverage

Important note
In the current local UI, the route-management and vehicle-management pages still have first-render drawer bugs, while the rest of the transport surfaces render normally. The public docs now record that caveat directly so operators and future agents do not mistake it for missing transport coverage.
