This guide explains the Front CMS → Settings workspace in Smart School. It is the control panel for the public school website, branding, homepage section visibility, and the contact/social values that appear on the FrontCMS site.
Before you start
- Confirm that you are editing the school’s FrontCMS site, not the Migdafa SaaS landing page.
- Decide which homepage sections should be visible before you save.
- Prepare the logo, favicon, contact emails, footer text, and social links you want to publish.
Navigation path
Front CMS -> Settings
Step 1: Open the settings workspace
Open Front CMS in the sidebar and choose Settings.
Step 2: Review the module switches
Use the top-level toggles to control the public site behavior:
- Enable Front CMS turns the public school site on or off.
- Enable Sidebar controls whether sidebar widgets appear.
- Enable RTL switches the public site layout to right-to-left mode when required.
Pick the public theme from the theme dropdown before saving if the school is changing its visual style.
Step 3: Tune the homepage sections
The homepage section checklist controls which blocks appear on the public FrontCMS homepage.
Common section groups include:
- Hero panel
- Quick contact card
- Quick events card
- Campus feed card
- Stats summary
- Departments
- Latest research
- Latest sections
- Sidebar area
When a section is turned off here, it disappears from the public homepage even if the content still exists in other Front CMS screens.
Step 4: Update hero and section labels
Scroll through the settings form and update the labels that shape the homepage copy:
- hero intro and CTA labels
- hero fallback text
- section titles and descriptions
- sidebar widget labels
- footer labels
- cookie consent text
- analytics placeholder text
These values are useful when the school wants to rename a section without editing the content records themselves.
Step 5: Upload branding assets
Use the branding section to upload:
- the school logo
- the favicon
The current UI accepts common image formats and shows a preview after selection. Upload both assets before publishing if the school wants a fully branded public site.
Step 6: Set contact and social links
Fill in the contact and social media fields so visitors can reach the school from the public site.
Typical fields include:
- contact email
- complaint form email
- X or Twitter
- YouTube
- Google+
Step 7: Save and verify
Click Save Settings after you finish the configuration.
Then verify the result by:
- Reopening the settings screen to confirm the values persisted.
- Visiting the public FrontCMS site.
- Checking that the homepage sections, branding, and sidebar behavior match the chosen settings.
Expected result: the school's FrontCMS site uses the chosen theme, branding, contact links, and homepage section layout.
